The data was directly obtained from Face­book March 2011.

Face­book is now steadily climb­ing up to 700 mil­lions users. If Face­book is a coun­try, that would make it the third largest after People’s Repub­lic of China and India.

Their elec­tri­cal bill alone is well over $1,000,000 per month. Every day, more than 13 mil­lion users update their sta­tus. Face­book hosts more than 10 bil­lion pho­tos and more than 700 mil­lion new pho­tos and 4 mil­lion videos get uploaded every month.
