This was my first assessment in my course: Colmar Academy. I’ve never created a webpage from scratch, let alone create a CSS file.
All the time I relied on automated tools like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal. It wasn’t easy because I had to specify the styling for each section, using Flex and making it mobile responsive. I have to change my way of thinking.
The human brain is good in filling up the blanks. It can eevn raed tihs txet elasiy and uatdernsnd it, as lnog as the fsirt and lsat cratcerahs are in the crecort pcale.
Not for computers. You have to be very specific and logical.
That was one page. Imagine if you have hundreds of pages.
There are tools to make it easier. For example, I’m learning on how to create a website using Gatsby and React. There is Bootstrap for front end web development and Spring Boot, an application framework and inversion of control container for the Java platform.
As I progress into the course I have a better understanding of how things work. I’m amazed that it can work.
A son was asking his father (who is a programmer): “Dad, why does the sun rises in the East and sets in the West?”
